About this site
Revive Japan Art is an art and culture guide site established with the aim of bringing Japan's beautiful iconography starting from the National Diet Library (NDL) to modern life again.
We re-edit the historically valuable iconography archives (ukiyo-e, plant designs, kimono, landscapes, etc.) held by NDL from the perspective of "knowing, enjoying, and making use of them", and rediscover their value as art while disseminating information so that everyone can feel the beauty of Japan in their daily lives.
In recent years, traditional Japan culture has been attracting renewed attention around the world. Overseas, words such as "Ukiyo-e" and "Kimono" have become commonly used as they are, and Japan's ancient sense of color, compositional beauty, and the idea of coexistence with nature are evaluated as values that are highly compatible with sustainable lifestyles.
Under such circumstances, this site provides information from the following three perspectives:
- 1. Reliable primary sources : Focusing on image materials and historical documents from public institutions such as the National Diet Library
- 2. Blending Experience and Knowledge : Based on many years of experience in Japan culture, guides and usage examples based on actual experience are posted
- 3. Contemporary perspective Through modern tools such as :P OD (Print on Demand), we propose ways to incorporate Japan beauty into our daily lives
The operator has many years of experience in the traditional crafts, Japan food, and design business in Japan and Thailand, and has been working to promote Japan culture internationally from both IT and trade. Currently, while combining AI and image generation technology, we are taking on the challenge of reinterpreting the beauty of Japan in the digital age through blogs, social media, and product development under the theme of "AI ×, Cultural Inheritance, × Freedom of Expression."
Japan beauty has a "quiet power" that resonates with people's hearts throughout the ages. There is no greater joy if this site becomes a place to meet such beauty and gently add color to someone's daily life.
Please take your time and enjoy this "journey of revitalizing Japan's beauty".
